Drumroll please… I have started my Christmas shopping!!! Me, the last minute shopper, the midnight Christmas wrapper, the person who writes ALL the lists and yet still ends up panic buying; yes me, I have started my shopping.

I’m not entirely sure what has bought on this early decision to get prepared; maybe it’s the sudden dark mornings and onslaught of rainy days but, whatever it is, judging by the number of Christmas orders I have received already, I’m not alone!

Every year, my pet portraits make their way under Christmas trees all over the country (and sometimes, further afield!), and it’s honestly one of my favourite times of the year to paint. There’s something so special about knowing a beloved furry friend is going to be unwrapped on Christmas morning — and that little gasp of recognition when someone sees their pet captured forever is absolutely priceless. The text messages of thanks and videos of tearful owners just round off my year to perfection!

I still have a few slots left but, once I’ve reached capacity, I have to close Christmas commissions to make sure every portrait gets the care and detail it deserves.
