About me
Although school seems like a very (very!) long time ago now, I can remember quite clearly that Art was one of my favourite subjects and I can even remember some of my more celebrated pieces. In my day, however, it was not something that you continued after school and I was roundly encouraged to get a "proper job".
I am a typical Pisces though, creative to my very core and, years after having children, when life suddenly allowed, I discovered art again and Painting Tails was born. When not painting, I can be found clocking up the miles and enjoying the fresh air in the surrounding countryside with my faithful friend.
My motivation is my gorgeous family who are always supportive when I am drowning in commissions and provide wine where needed! My children's compliments are heart-warming to say the least, their comments melt me. My husband, as a photographer, has an expert eye and can often point out what I feel is wrong when I am at an impasse with a commission, but cannot quite place what is bugging me! He is also the man responsible for my beautifully shot portfolio of work.
Although I will happily accept most commissions and have painted all manner of things, my favorite subjects have to be your pets - from horses to chickens, I love them all. My inspiration for this side of Painting Tail comes from my own furbaby, a food loving, water loving, ball loving lunatic Labrador. I know what your pet means to your family, so you can rest assured that I will capture not only their likeness but their personality in my paintings.
